About the PACU/Recover RN role:
What You’ll Do
Provide immediate post‑anesthesia care for orthopedic surgical patients
Monitor airway, vital signs, pain levels, and overall stability
Administer medications for pain and nausea
Manage oxygen therapy, IV fluids, and post‑op interventions
Assess surgical sites, dressings, immobilizers, and drains
Support patients recovering from regional anesthesia and nerve blocks
Educate patients and families on post‑op care and discharge instructions
Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgeons, and perioperative staff
What We’re Looking For
Current RN license (MD)
PACU, ICU, ED, or critical care experience strongly preferred
BLS ACLS preferred
Strong assessment and airway‑management skills
Experience with orthopedic post‑operative care is a plus
Excellent communication skills
