Registered Nurse – House Supervisor opportunity in a skilled nursing setting located in Newark, NY. This travel, temporary assignment begins 08/25/2026 and runs for Weeks. The role provides 36 hours per week across rotating evening and night shifts, including 11:00pm–7:00am, 3:00pm–11:00pm, and 7:00pm–7:00am timeframes. Weekly pay ranges from $2,280 to $2,311 with no guaranteed hours. The position involves facility-wide nursing leadership across multiple units in a geriatric patient population, including dementia and post-acute/rehabilitation care.

Responsibilities
- Serve as RN supervisor across units, coordinating nursing care and assignments to ensure quality patient outcomes and adherence to standards.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff, provide coaching, and support performance improvement initiatives; manage staffing to meet patient needs within productivity guidelines.
- Oversee care for geriatric patients, including those with dementia, Alzheimer’s with behaviors, DM, CVA, and post-acute/rehab needs; implement de-escalation strategies for assaultive or agitated behaviors.
- Ensure accurate EPIC charting and documentation, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in incident/sentinel event reporting and regulatory readiness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, unit secretaries) to coordinate admissions, discharges, and complex care plans; manage infection control and isolation procedures.
- Prepare for emergencies, lead code management, and support staffing and patient safety during night and weekend operations.

Requirements
- Current NY RN license in hand
- BLS certification
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with charge/supervisory responsibilities
- Experience with geriatric and behavioral populations; ability to manage assaultive/behavioral patients
- Ability to work in a multi-unit skilled nursing setting and participate in rotating shifts
- Travel eligibility: candidates must be located >75 miles from the assignment location (local candidates not accepted)
