TRAVEL Registered Nurse – Oncology Chemo Certified – 3x12 Nights – $2,557 Weekly

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 16-week travel assignment on a high-acuity Acute Leukemia and Hematology unit in Columbus, Ohio.

This is an inpatient Medical-Surgical Oncology unit primarily caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. The unit has a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention initiatives.

Shift Options:

• 3x12 Days (07:00–19:30)
• 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30)
• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling; no block scheduling permitted
• Weekend requirement: Variable based on unit needs
• Float: Required to other MedSurg Oncology units

Unit Details:

• 24 beds | Average daily census 22
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Staffing ratios: Goal 1:4, may be 1:5
• High volume of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
• Telemetry monitoring (GE B450 system)
• Alaris pumps
• Stryker beds
• Bladder scanners
• Epic charting system

Orientation:

• Week 1: Monday–Friday dayshift
• Week 2: 36 hours on-unit orientation with preceptor

Compensation:

W2: $30.00/hr

Total Weekly Stipend: $1,477.00

Gross Weekly Pay: $2,557.00

• Licensure: Active Compact RN license or active Ohio RN license required in hand at time of submission.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. Must have MS Oncology and at least 1 year hematology/oncology experience within the last 3 years, including at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience.
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification.
• Certifications Preferred: NIHSS.
• Skills Required: Inpatient oncology, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, blood product administration, central line and PICC care, port access/management, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, infection prevention protocols, rapid response utilization.
• Charting System: Epic required.
• Floating: Required to other MedSurg Oncology units.
• Scheduling: 3x12-hour shifts; self-schedule; no block scheduling.
• RTO: Must be submitted with application and built into contract.
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers not accepted.
• Compliance: Must meet strict compliance deadline (Tuesday prior to start). Fingerprinting required immediately after booking.
• Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• Locals: Accepted at same rate.
